Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology

A Radiologic Technology degree can put you in a field that continues to be at the forefront in the diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for radiologic technologists and technicians is expected to grow by 15 percent through the year 2016 as the healthcare industry expands.* Opportunities are available in all areas of healthcare, including family care, pediatrics, geriatrics, urgent care, home healthcare, and long-term care.

The Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology degree (AASRT) can help provide you with the skills and confidence you need to enter the field of general radiography. This education also can form the foundation for further education and cross-training. Each student is provided clinical opportunities during the program, rotating through general radiography, trauma radiography and surgery in two to three clinical settings.

When you graduate, you can pursue career opportunities such as:

  • Radiologic Technician
  • Radiologic Technologist
  • Radiologic Equipment Sales Representative
  • Radiological Trainer
  • And many other radiologic occupations in nearly all areas of healthcare.

Additional education and/or experience may be required for some positions.
