CLEP Test for CTU Online Military Students
The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) allows you to take exams and get college credit for what you've already learned from your military experience, training, occupational specialty or independent study. You can take these exams to earn college credit toward your Colorado Tech Online degree to meet general education requirements such as Math, English, Science, Business, foreign languages and others.
CLEP tests are absolutely free for military personnel. Taking these exams may help you earn more credits faster, which will shorten the length of your degree program. Talk to your Education Officer or Test Control Officer for more information and testing procedures. For more information about CLEP exams, study guides and practice texts, visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html.
You must receive a passing score on all CLEP tests if you want them to be considered for transfer credit. You may take the CLEP exams as many times as necessary. However, if you don't receive a passing score on an examination, you must wait six months before retaking the same test.
