Financial Aid Information
Colorado Technical University is committed to assisting students in developing financial
plans to achieve their educational goals. We realize that how to pay for an education
is an important decision. Therefore, we strive to provide our students with the
information, support and assistance they need to receive the maximum financial aid
for which they qualify.
Types of Financial Aid
Students who are accepted for enrollment at Colorado Technical University may qualify
for financial assistance if their personal financial resources are unable to meet
the full cost of their education. Alternative financing options are also available
to those who qualify.
CTU participates in many federal and state financial aid programs. We encourage
students to visit
www.ed.gov/studentaid
to obtain a copy of "The Student Guide," which explains these programs in detail.
The three basic types of federal financial aid that may be available to students
who qualify include:
- Grants/Scholarships
This assistance is a type you do not repay, such as the Federal Pell Grant Program.
- Loans
Loans are assistance you do repay, like the Federal Stafford Loan.
- Earned Assistance
This financial assistance is a type you can earn through your work, such as the
Federal Work-Study Program.
Many employers also offer the benefit of tuition reimbursement to help students
pay for their degree programs.
If you are accepted for enrollment, a CTU
Financial Aid Representative
can explain the resources to you.
